This song is about 4 or 5 years old and hasn't been released til now.
Lo Brow is about the first of my Cook County Jail students that I became friends with. I only got to know him very briefly before he was sent upstate to serve a prison sentence. Lorenzo had a daughter that he missed very much and I was moved to make a song about them both. He made a great impression on me and was very kind and sad, but also very helpful and hungry to learn music and self expression. This song is a tribute to him and an example of the type of songwriting that we were exploring in my class at the time. I finished it the day before he was transferred and he never got to hear it. Here's hoping he'll find his way to it somehow.

I made it at home as a demo but decided to put it out as is. You'll hear a classical guitar, 2 violins, and a cello with me singing.
